Leaving Sierra Leone...

Need I say more? I think this is when it really hit me that I was leaving my position in the clinic for good. And that I was saying bye to a place that had become home. A moment of sadness followed by a moment of hope. Hope in the fact that God has more in store for me. Knowing that every take off is followed by a landing. I won't be flying aimlessly about. I will land. And I will land well. I will sink my feet into new ground...

With the right "pilot" in your life you will have many flights ahead of you.

Crikey.. I can't believe that you're leaving. They will miss you terribly but they are very lucky to have had you there for so long. Masses of luck for the future. I can't wait to hear what you end up doing. If you're ever in London and need somewhere to stay, do give me a ring. Thinking of you lots.

I just came across your blog and it's AMAZING what you have been doing over there. I have been to Freetown and will be going back in September...then for at least 4 months...living in an orphanage in west Freetown. I fell in love with the people and EVERYTHING about it. Will you ever be going back?

@Harriet I'll definitely call if ever in London!

@Jessie I'll likely be back for 4 weeks end of Sept/Oct. Which orphanage are you at?

Wow Sandra! You will be missed so much by the children, their parents and the staff. We wish you God's love and guidance as you look for new ways to serve HIM.
